Vow:

Vow is a pledge, oath which you have entered in and have agreed to do such thing.

Vow is a debt which you have used your mouth to enter and you must pay.

 

Categories of Vows

1.        Pledge

2.       Marital Vow or Solemn,

3.       Church Vow

4.      Promises

Pledge:

This is something handed over to another to ensure that the giver will keep his or her promise or agreement

It is of different categories.

The National Pledge Is A Vow. Rom. 13: 1-6

 Pledge is also what you said you will do if something occurs.

Sam.1: 10- 11, 26- 28 Hannah redeemed her vow.

Luke. 19: 8, Eph. 6: 5-6

 Oath and Covenant: Acts 23: 14, Gen. 50: 25, Gen. 26: 28 Eph. 5: 22, 25, 29.Num. 30: 2

 Sacrifice: Something you decide to give to good sacrificially. Ps. 50: 5, Judges 11:30, 35, 39

 

Marital Vow:

A Marital Vow or solemn promise, pledge, or personal commitment: marriage vows; a vow of secrecy. a solemn promise made to a deity or saint committing oneself to an act, service, or condition. a solemn or earnest declaration.

 

Religious Vow:

The vows are regarded as the individual's free response to a call by God to follow Jesus Christ more closely under the action of the Holy Spirit in a particular form of religious living. A person who lives a religious life according to vows they have made is called a votary or a votarist. And the ability to always contribute to the growth of the church.

Promises:

A declaration that one will do or refrain from doing something specified. Or a legally binding declaration that gives the person to whom it is made a right to expect or to claim the performance or forbearance of a specified act.
